Ware Concludes Strong Play In Summer League
Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
The much-hyped Assembly Ball squad made a run in the TBT but ultimately came up short in the third round. This was after a furious rally and several players being unavailable.
Besides this, former Hoosiers in the NBA, recruiting and schedule updates, and weekly shows. We will as usual conclude with a look at other IU teams led by a potential change to scholarship allotments in several sports.

Banner #1: IU’s Alumni Squad Falls In Third Round Of TBT
While the IU basketball season is still months away, the competition wrapped up for the Assembly Ball squad in the TBT. While the former Hoosier players made a valiant effort, a lack of available bodies eventually did them in.
The squad did dominate their arch-rival Purdue alumni in the second round. However, the next game saw Indiana incredibly shorthanded. Despite a huge rally late, Eberlein Drive edged out IU 82-79 to end their tournament run short of a championship and the million-dollar prize.
Banner #2: Hoosiers In The Pros Update
Former Hoosier Kel’el Ware concluded his strong play in the summer league. It was a rousing success as he was instrumental in leading the Heat to the championship in Las Vegas. Ware’s performance also earned him first-team All-Summer League honors.
Banner #3: Recruiting Updates
As is typical in the summer, a couple of updates involving recruiting occurred. This included top 2025 target Braylon Mullins having IU on the list of schools he is still considering.
Besides this, a few highlight videos were released of high school players the Hoosiers are seriously looking at. This included Jalen Haralson and Mikel Brown Jr. Finally, Inside the Hall released an updated recruiting board.
