[6BS] Hoosiers Land Sisley
Indiana Also Misses Out On Haralson And Awaits Decision Of Mullins
Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
With schedule news now in the rearview mirror, recruiting moves to the forefront with many developments here. IU went one for two with their top targets last week and bagged their first commitment of 2025. Also, another prospect high on the Hoosiers’ list trimmed his options down to include Indiana.
Besides this, Inside the Hall continued their series previewing other Big Ten teams and weekly shows. We will as usual conclude with a look at other IU sports led by football beating Maryland to obtain their first 5-0 record since 1967.

Banner #1: IU Gets First Recruit For 2025 By Winning Sisley Sweepstakes
The week started with celebration for Hoosier fans with some massive recruiting news. After visiting Bloomington last weekend, one of the top recruits in the country pulled the trigger for IU and became the first commitment of 2025 in the process.
Trent Sisley will play his college basketball in Assembly Hall as the Hoosiers beat out Matt Painter and Purdue among others for his services. Sisley played his first three years of high school basketball at Heritage Hills before moving on to Montverde this fall. Current IU player Malik Reneau also made his previous stop there.
Sisley is the no. 75 player in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also Hoosier coach Mike Woodson’s first commitment from the state of Indiana during his tenure. After his pledge, Inside the Hall did a Q&A with Sisley. Assembly Call also had an Emergency Podcast.
Banner #2: Hoosiers Lose Out On Top Target Haralson
While the importance of landing Sisley should not be underestimated, Indiana missed out on another top in-state target a few days later. After narrowing his list to include IU and much anticipation from Hoosier fans, Jalen Haralson announced he is headed elsewhere.
While Haralson is staying in Indiana, he will play his college basketball further north at Notre Dame for Micah Shrewsberry who is assembling an elite class for the Fighting Irish. Haralson is the no. 13 player in the 247Sports Composite rankings and the highest-ranked player ND has ever landed.
Banner #3: Mullins Trims List To Three With IU Among Them As Hoosiers Look To Grow 2025 Class
The other main target from Indiana that the Hoosiers are in heavy pursuit of is Braylon Mullins. Mullins has not decided on his future yet but is Sisley’s AAU teammate. He has also trimmed his list of schools he is considering to three which includes IU as well as powers Connecticut and North Carolina.
Inside the Hall looked at where Indiana stands with recruiting currently for 2025 following the Sisley commitment and Haralson miss. Other targets besides Mullins include Nate Ament, Mikel Brown Jr. Eric Reibe, and Bryson Tiller.
Banner #4: Inside The Hall’s Big Ten Team Preview
Inside the Hall continued its series previewing other Big Ten teams. This week they looked at the squads projected to finish near the top of the league including UCLA, Illinois, Rutgers, Michigan State, and Purdue.

Banner #6: Hoosier Roundup-Hoosier Roundup-Football Beats Maryland To Improve To 5-0
Football faced their first close game of the season. However, they still prevailed over Maryland 42-28 to start 5-0 for the first time since 1967.
Men’s soccer played one of their best matches of the season against top-five ranked Ohio State. Despite pouring rain, Indiana gained a valuable point in the conference race with a 2-2 draw.
Volleyball beat to in-state rival Notre Dame to close non-conference play at 7-3. However, they fell in their Big Ten opener at Washington as well at Oregon a couple of nights later. Note the match in Eugene ended minutes before 6-Banner was sent to be published so no article or box score was available yet.
Women’s soccer won their first Big Ten game of the season this week by defeating Oregon in Eugene. They also fell to USC before that in Bloomington last Sunday.
Men’s golf won a tournament at Purdue.
Field hockey fell to Northwestern and Penn State.
Baseball split a pair of fall exhibition games at Louisville.
Women’s tennis had an athlete compete in the ITA All-American Championships.
Softball will compete in the Puerto Vallarta challenge next February.
Finally, Women’s basketball was picked a solid fifth in the Big Ten next year despite the expired eligibility of the program’s greatest player of all time Mackenzie Holmes. Also, the addition of both LA schools pushed the Hoosiers down a couple of spots with both newcomers expected to be in the top-five nationally.
Thanks for your continued support for The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall. We’ll be back next weekend with a new roundup.
Now go enjoy yourself a 6-banner Sunday.
