Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
After one of the quietest weeks for IU stories in the last edition of 6-Banner, a noteworthy headline occurred a few days ago. This involved a significant addition to Indiana’s TBT Alumni Team.
Besides this, recruiting, Inside the Hall finishing its preview of where every Big Ten team stands, an NBA draft update, and Podcast on the Brink. We will as usual conclude with a look at other IU sports led by a significant addition to the softball squad.

Banner #1: Hulls Added To TBT Team
The basketball team made up of all IU alumni continues to get closer and closer to competition at the TBT next month. They begin play on Friday, July 19 at 6 pm in Indianapolis at Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse with tickets available at this link.
However, the headline here was the addition of another player as current Hoosier recruiting coordinator Jordan Hulls will be on the squad as both a player and coach. He is the sixth person announced to “Assembly Ball” joining Yogi Ferrell, Devonte Green, Miller Kopp, Juwan Morgan, and Troy Williams.
While basketball awaits games in this format, former Indiana soccer players finished competing in the sister event to this at the TST in North Carolina. They made a run to the Final Four of the event before falling to eventual champion La Bombonera.
Banner #2: Recruiting Update
As summer quickly approaches, the college sports season and especially IU basketball have entered a recruiting phase. With the 2024 roster now likely set (which includes highly-ranked freshman Bryson Tucker) and everyone on campus, the Hoosiers have turned their attention to 2025 and beyond.
The 2025 class in the state of Indiana is one of the best in recent memory and several of the prospects in it moved up in new rankings by rivals.com. Jalen Haralson continues to pace everyone and is now ranked at 7 while Darius Adams climbed to 16. Top target Braylon Mullins made a huge jump from the 80s all the way to 31. Meanwhile, Trent Sisley moved up slightly to 67. Also, Malachi Moreno who resides just over the border in Kentucky and is playing his summer ball on the other side of the Ohio River, rose to 24.
Inside the Hall, had a spring highlight video for Kiyan Anthony (son of NBA great Carmelo Anthony) who comes in at 36 nationally and is an IU target as well. ITH also did interviews with Mullins and Sisley. Finally, the coaching staff attended the NBPA Top 100 Camp In Orlando which features many players the Hoosiers are targeting for 2025 and 2026.
Banner #3: Inside the Hall’s Big Ten Team Preview
Inside the Hall concluded its series previewing all the Big Ten teams for next season. The conference has expanded with the West Coast schools and now has 18 squads in the league. This week ITH looked at Purdue and newcomer UCLA.
Banner #4: NBA Draft Update
The one major contributor for IU who departed the team after 2023-2024 is star center Kel’el Ware. This is because Ware played himself into a relatively high draft pick after a phenomenal season in Bloomington.
New NBA mock drafts were recently released. All have Ware going no later than the end of the first round while several now have him up in the lottery. The Ringer’s Kevin O’Conner is the most bullish projecting him at nine to the Memphis Grizzles.
