[6BS] IU Basketball Schedule Released
Indiana Hosts A Media Day As Season Draws Closer
Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
The IU basketball schedule is finally out much to the delight of Hoosier fans. However, this was not the only big news story as Indiana hosted a media day and it was a big recruiting weekend.
Besides this, Inside the Hall continued their series previewing other Big Ten teams and weekly shows. We will as usual conclude with a look at other IU sports led by football continuing to roll to victories.

Hoosier Roundup-Football Dominates Charlotte To Improve To 4-0
IU men’s basketball will play several games this upcoming season on Peacock and the women will play a few as well, making the streaming service essential for IU basketball fans. Banner #1: Full IU Basketball Schedule Released
The full Big Ten schedule finally came out last week. While a few games had already been leaked, the entire slate is now known. The highlights besides the already announced Purdue matchups, are a Valentine’s Day showdown with conference newcomer UCLA and senior day versus Ohio State on March 8. While dates are now released, times and TV networks will come later on. Also, Inside the Hall’s Alex Bozich provided a few thoughts on the games.
The men were not the only side to have their schedule revealed as the women also had theirs made public. The highlight for them is JuJu Watkins and USC visiting Bloomington on January 19 while arch-rival Purdue invades Assembly Hall on Feb. 15. The Hoosiers are expected to once again have a good year. However, they must replace all-time program great Mackenzie Holmes. However, her long-time backup Lilly Meister will attempt to fill these very large shoes.
Banner #2: Indiana Hosts Basketball Media Day
The schedule release is not the only thing that shows the 2024-2025 season is getting ever closer. Another sign that action will take place on the court before long was Indiana hosting a basketball media day last week.
IU coach Mike Woodson spoke at this event. Woodson discussed a variety of topics including the fact that his team might well employ smaller lineups more often. Women’s coach Teri Moren also did a press conference breaking down her squad.
Banner #3: Recruiting Update
It is a huge recruiting weekend for IU as three of their top targets for 2025 are in Bloomington. Two of these prospects are from Indiana in Braylon Mullins and Trent Sisley. They are joined on campus by Eric Reibe.
Also, another player the Hoosiers have been hard after is Jalen Haralson. His recruitment appears to be coming to a close as Haralson canceled his remaining visits and will make a decision very soon.

Inside the Hall continued its series previewing other Big Ten teams. This week they looked at Oregon, Maryland, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan.

Podcast on the Brink returned this week. On it, the Columbus Dispatch’s Adam Jardy discussed Ohio State hoops.
The Back Home Network was also on-air several times. Both Assembly Call Radio and Doing The Work returned to the air this week. Also, Crimson Cast had episodes as did the Tuesday Night Bison Chat. Finally, Xs and Joes had a show as well.

Banner #6: Hoosier Roundup-Football Dominates Charlotte To Improve To 4-0
Football rolled over Charlotte 52-14 to improve to 4-0. Also, quarterback Kurtis Rourke was named the Big Ten Offensive Player Of The Week.
Volleyball fell to in-state rival Notre Dame. Also, Camyrn Haworth was honored by the AVCA, and the upcoming match with Oregon was flexed onto BTN.
Men’s soccer tied Evansville and fell to Maryland as their early season struggles continued.
Women’s soccer lost to UCLA.
Women’s tennis competed at the Columbia Fall Exhibition Invitational. They also had an athlete selected to compete in the ITA all-American Championships;
Men’s tennis took part in the MTSU Fall Exhibition Invite.
Finally, several IU athletes excelled in a summer internship program.
