[6BS] IU Reviewing Actions By Former Contracted Physician
More Schedule Announcements Made Including Purdue Games
Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
While scheduling announcements happened again, a more disturbing story took center stage this week. More reveals involving the Big Ten slate did occur. However, it is the alleged conduct of a former IU doctor that rises to the top of the headlines.
Besides this, another major publication picked Indiana to win the Big Ten, recruiting updates, and weekly shows round out the basketball portion of 6-Banner. As usual, we will conclude with a look at other Hoosier sports starting with football which rolled to a huge win in their Big Ten opener on the road .

Banner #1: Independent Review Ordered By Indiana Against IU Basketball Doctor
A well-known Bloomington doctor Brad Bomba Sr. had disturbing allegations levied against him by a former IU basketball player. The identity of the athlete is not known.
However, he alleges that Bomba, who was a contracted physician for Indiana athletics in the late 1990s, subjected him to inappropriate prostate and rectal exams. The university has tasked Jones Day to do a fully independent investigation into the matter.
Jones Day has asked any athlete who may have been subjected to similar conduct to come forward and report it. This can be done by phone at 888-392-2296 or by email at IUinvestigation@JonesDay.com. The communication can be done anonymously if desired.
Banner #2: Schedule Update
While the full Big Ten schedule will likely be out later this week, another major piece of it was reported a few days ago. It has been known for a while who IU’s opponents are and where the games will be played. However, times and dates are yet to be released.
However, College Basketball Insider’s Jon Rothstein leaked more news about some key conference matchups. The Hoosiers will host Minnesota to open league play on December 9 before traveling to Nebraska on December 13.
The reveal though that will excite Indiana fans most, is the annual rivalry games with Purdue being known. The first matchup will be on January 31 in West Lafayette with the return game in Bloomington on February 23.
Banner #3: Another Major Publication Picks IU To Win Big Ten In Season Preview
Another major site that covers college basketball picked IU to win the conference in 2024-2025. The Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook was the first to project Indiana to come out on top in the league last week. Now Lindy’s Sports seconded this thought and picked Indiana to be the class of the Big Ten.
Rothstein added to the optimism as well. He tweeted out early on Saturday that both incoming transfer Luke Goode and freshman Bryson Tucker have been stand outs and will figure prominently into the rotation.
Turning away from the Hoosiers and to the rest of the conference, Inside the Hall continued its preview of other Big Ten squads. This week they looked at Minnesota, USC, Northwestern, Nebraska, and Iowa.
Banner #4: Recruiting Update
247Sports updated their 2025 recruiting rankings last week. This included several Hoosier targets being high up in their numbers. This was led by the no. 4 player nationally Nate Ament. This was followed by no. 7 Mikel Brown Jr, no. 14 and no. 16 top targets Jalen Haralson and Braylon Mullins, no. 20 Bryson Tiller, no. 27 Eric Reibe, and no. 70 Trent Sisley.
