[6BS] IU Roster Officially Set
Thomas Bryant And Pacers Win Game One Of NBA Finals
Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, and presented by our friends at Homefield Apparel, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.
For weeks it has already been known who would likely be on next season’s basketball roster. However, the team made its’ personnel official this week.
Besides this, a former Hoosier began their series in the NBA Finals, Inside the Hall’s conference preview, and recruiting. As usual, we will conclude with weekly shows and a look at other IU sports, including football, which announced single-game ticket sales.

Banner #1: IU Officially Announces Roster For This Fall
While it was already known who would be playing for IU next season due to media reports, Indiana finally announced its official roster for the upcoming fall. It features 11 scholarship players all with numbers between 0-12.
Outside of two returning walk-ons, it is entirely new personnel. This consists of ten transfers and an incoming freshman. The transfers are the ones expected to make the most impact as this class ranks tenth nationally according to 247Sports.
Banner #2: Bryant And Pacers Win NBA Finals Opener
The NBA Finals began this week with major implications locally. Former Hoosier Thomas Bryant is part of the team that competes in Indiana and is just up the road from Bloomington. While he is the backup center to Myles Turner, he plays a critical role off the bench for the Pacers at times.
Bryant was a contributor in the first game of the series scoring five points including a three-pointer from the corner. He is playing for his second NBA Championship and the Pacers look to deliver the state’s first major basketball title since IU in 1987.
Indiana pulled out a thriller in game one as their star Tyrese Haliburton hit his fourth buzzer-beater of the playoffs for a 1-0 series lead against the favored Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers are making their first finals appearance since 2000 and will play game two tonight at 8 pm on ABC.
If they can win three more times, they will raise the Larry O’Brien Trophy as champions. It would be their first title since their ABA days in the 1970s and a breakthrough for NBA supremacy.
On a somewhat related NBA note, departing Hoosier senior Trey Galloway made the news. This is because he has gotten workouts for several NBA teams to try to be on their summer league roster.
Banner #3: Inside the Hall’s Big Ten Preview
Inside the Hall continued its series looking at each Big Ten squad in detail. This week featured a breakdown of Penn State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Washington, Oregon, Nebraska, and Maryland.
Banner #4: Recruiting Update
Highlight videos for several Hoosier recruiting targets were put out. This week’s releases were those of 2026’s Davion Adkins, Ethan Taylor, Jordan Smith, Caleb Gaskins, Cole Cloer, and Cameron Williams.
This was not the only information when it came to recruiting. New head coach Darian DeVries met with the media at the Huber’s Event recently to discuss this topic amongst other things.

Plus, how cool is it to have an item celebrating the great teams under Branch McCracken?
Banner #5: Weekly Shows
The Back Home Network was also on air multiple times this week. Crimson Cast, Doing The Work, and Xs and Joes all had shows over the last few days.
