The Big 10 won some key games this weekend. Ohio St beat UCLA and now find themselves in the poll at 25. Purdue takes over the number 1 ranking after taking down previous number 1 Arizona. Illinois and Wisconsin also are in the top 25 for the conference.
A debate can be made for who should be ranked number 1 overall. Three teams can lay claim to that spot: Purdue, Houston, and Kansas. Houston is undefeated, Purdue has the best resume, and Kansas had only one loss in an MTE to Marquette.
Kentucky won a huge game against North Carolina. James Madison remains undefeated, as does Oklahoma. Clemson lost for the first time at Memphis.
The poll, just like other metrics is starting to stabilize some. The top 6 are the most likely teams to have success going forward. Teams 7-20 are solid teams overall and have the potential to make some noise in the tournament. Teams outside the top 20 all have some work to do but are more than capable.

Purdue is best team in the league by far. Their win over top-ranked Arizona was a great win for them and the league as well. Nebraska made a huge jump in the rankings with big wins over Michigan State and Kansas State. Michigan State also picked up a much needed win over Baylor
Indiana remains in 6th despite its loss to Kansas — a very competitive effort by the Hoosiers on Saturday. It was good to see, but really does not move the needle much in their overall rankings
The conference had a good week, winning some key games. The road in the BIG 10 will be where the quad 1 wins reside for a lot of teams. The NET rankings are not kind to the conference right now.
