How to Help Young IU Fans Attend Their First Game In-Person!
Our friends at Hoosier Ticket Project are hosting their annual Giving Blitz today, with one donor pledging a $4,500 match! Here's how you can help.
Since we launched The Assembly Call in 2011, there is one part of the experience that has filled me with more pride than any other …
And that is the privilege we’ve had to use our platform to support Indiana-based organizations like Homefield Apparel and Hoosier Ticket Project (HTP).
Today, we have the opportunity to do that once again, as the fine folks at HTP are hosting their annual Giving Blitz.
As a reminder, Hoosier Ticket Project is a non-profit organization that was launched a few years back with the express goal of helping families experience IU athletic events in-person for the first time.
Their mission extends to IU fans of all ages, but there is something extra special about helping young IU fans — the next generation of this incredible fan base — get to their first live game.
Watching on TV or listening to Fisch or Austin Render on the radio is all well and good … but nothing creates the emotional bonds that drive lifelong fandom like in-person experiences at games.
It creates memories like this one, which last a lifetime:
So I am sending you this email to encourage you to support HTP and their wonderful mission of spreading the experience of attending IU athletic events as far and wide as possible.
And whether you are able to donate or not, everyone can support the Giving Blitz by sharing this email with your friends and family members.
Perhaps they will want to donate, or perhaps they haven’t yet attended an IU game and want to be one of the many families that HTP sends to a game.
Either way, whatever you can do — donate, share, or both — will help support HTP’s ongoing mission.
We donated:
Now it’s your turn to help!
And hey, if you donate $150 or more, they are throwing in this sweet t-shirt. :)
Go Hoosiers!
