I have watched Hickmam play @ Bradley, since he was a freshman, due to my living in Bloomington-Normal, IL. & being an avid, ISU basketball fan. ISU is in the MVC Conference, along with Bradley. This young man is for real, when it comes to playing college ball. But I’ve often wondered why he wasn’t playing for the Hoosiers? His background is so much like Leal’s. But, hey, perhaps no one from IU called him?
Well, I don't know if you're getting Hickman if he's slated into a bench role. And I believe Klesmit ended up starting, or at least playing starter's minutes, for Wisconsin.
Looks like he moves well, has a quick release, makes good decisions when penetrating, but what I Iike best is his passing, his court vision. But it’s hard to make a judgment from a highlight video.
Lock him up NOW! If Woody will allow him to shoot, that is. There's no shooter anywhere who can help us if Woody won't allow his team to play modern basketball.
Woody will let a shooter shoot, but first you have to have shooters. Once Mybako began to gain understanding and confidence, he began shooting and making more. The same goes for Leal. But player confidence is key. With this year’s roster, if we were to jack up threes at a higher rate, I believe our average shooting percentage would have plummeted. Whether we like it or not, our strength was inside.
I saw Hickman play at Arch Madness. The kid has a quick release and is able to catch and shoot as well as shoot well off the dribble and off screens. He's a Bloomington South graduate who will remind IU fans of Jordan Hulls. My one reservation watching him play in person is his size and quickness. He's a good ball handler, but not great, and played mostly the 2 guard position for Bradley. He will probably be a defensive liability in the Big Ten. That said, he has excellent shooting range and accuracy, is an excellent free throw shooter, and he will stretch defenses.
He’s a Bloomington native and would play for the name on the front of the jersey. High basketball IQ- you need players like this on roster
Wow! He didn’t miss any shots at all!
Highlights are the best!

He was injured his senior year at Bloomington South and didn't play, which likely affected his recruitment from Power 6 conferences
We have 6 open scholarships. It would be nice to have a shooter on our bench. Think of the guy from Wisconsin (Kelsmet).

I’m not a Shot Doctor like Ryan, nor do I have Tony’s knowledge, however, Hackman’s form looks good and it looks consistent from shot to shot.
