Absolutely agree. Like you alluded to, it’s not that we’re losing, it’s how we’re losing and the total lack of either accountability or basic understanding as to what our issues are. Like everyone else, what evidence do we have to go off of that would indicate the staff have a grasp on the issues, let alone a plan to address them. If you don’t recognize you’re sick, you’re not going to seek any treatments. To me, Coach comes off as tired and overwhelmed, and is masking it all with canned answers and excuses. We need to turn the page

Well said, Tony. Given Woodson's actions and words, I just have no confidence that he understands or acknowledges the problems with this team or knows how to fix them. Yes, it's only one bad season, but I have trouble seeing how this is going to get better anytime soon. Feels like most of the fanbase is in the same place.

I agree. If no change it will be just as bad next year. I hate to say that. I like Woodson but he takes no accountability. He doesn’t play like he said he was going to. Yes he is getting top talent but it’s not working. Why? It has to be leadership.

I stand where I have for several weeks. Playing and coaching is totally different that playing and coaching on the collegiate level. Few successful college coaches find the same success in the NBA. I find the same to be true in the reverse. I like Woodson, but I believe that he is no different than any other NBA coaches.

Thanks Tony. You struck the proper balance between using stats and facts but also emotion. While I agree with you on your analysis and belief that change is needed now, I don't have confidence in the University to make the change this year. I don't know how you can look at his performance and continue on this path when so so many things are broken at once. Recruiting is broken, player development is broken, culture is broken, systems don't work and you have a mid 60's coach who has never coached College basketball before this job trying to fix the problems he created. Yet I expect him to return and that just isn't fair to the fans and supporters of this program.

I agree with you. Big problems. I will use the weapons I have to support the team. I will pray very hard to God to send wisdom to Mike Woodson, the team members and the powers that oversee the management of the team. I will continue to go to the games and cheer for IU. I heard boos at the last game. I will never do that.

💯 percent spot on. He just wants no accountability or hold even players to accountability. To me, defense is 100 percent accountability and teamwork. You can be Dennis Rodman and be an all time great if you focus on defense. Thank you sir. I couldn’t put in the words that you expressed but you nailed it.

About 10 days ago Jerod posted a note asking where fans were on Mike's return for 24-25. My keys were elimination of the bad behavior fouls that IU had happen for a period of time mid-season. Second was the question of how competitive IU would be down the stretch. Since that post IU has lost home to Penn State, Northwestern and Nebraska. Lost at Purdue, and defeated Ohio State. With 5 games to play, it is not looking good. The big question is not so much "should Woody go?" as "who will Indiana get to come in" that will raise the bar and performance? I think it is complicated - how much money is available? Can they pay off Mike and yet sell the school's program to an interested coach? Let's see what happens the next 5 games.

It’s make it or break it time for Coach. Take ownership, message that you see the issues, give some feedback on how we can address or step out of the way.

If Dolson and sponsors want to save face for Woody they could bring in help and tell Woodson he will use the help or resign giving him space and dignity.

I think TJD's super-star ability in Woody's first two years masked the inherent problems with the pound-it-inside style of play. Not sustainable, and now we see it front and center. All the assistant coaches have to see that. Is Woody too stubborn to listen to them? Same for defense--seems our guys are not guarding the shooters and not blocking out. Combined, the 100+ in KenPom sounds about right. Maybe Woody gets the guys to play hard and win Wed-Thur-Fri-Sat-Sun for the BTT crown? Or, maybe not. Without a huge run here at the end of the season, there will not even be an NIT-invite. I hate to say it, but I see no reason to keep Woody for another season.

I have talked to a lot of my friends that are the most tuned in on IU basketball and many are saying they just can't even watch a game because what they see is so ugly. People have said they are just done with the season. I hope they aren't done all together, but i think the risk of losing fans is the highest its even been.

I heard Woodson take responsibility the other day, and immediately I heard commentary that it wasn’t sincere. And that was from those calling for him to take responsibility in the first place. Talk about not being sincere. Well that’s the way it is when you’re losing. No matter what, it’s easy to twist anything to fit a narrative you want to present. I understand the frustration and criticism of losing but not the judgements and assumptions being thrown out Willy Nelly. Remember when everyone jumped on Woodson for criticizing Trey at a press conference, something Knight and Isso, and many other coaches have done. I didn’t hear anyone comment about Trey having his best game in an IU uniform the very next game. I know this is not a comment that will be tagged as liked, but there is plenty of piling on that I need not contribute to.

I just don’t see much change without a roster reconfiguration and not sure we can get the players needed to make significant improvements. Not only because of this season’s performance, but the negativity surrounding the program in general. What recruit would want to come under this uncertainty.

Watched the game and you have Nebraska running a motion offense with a lot of energy and running and cutting. Indiana trotted through their cuts and action. No energy. He needs to own up to that. I think they have quit on him..

I agree with most of your thoughts but do you see any reasonable scenario where he isn’t coaching next year?
