If the guys on the bench think it’s hard to keep excitement and cheering for the team going, in the face of the the Purdue crowd; they should remember how hard it is to PLAY in the game.

Who is the assistant coach who is always sitting next to Woodson, screen left? The one who looks to be on the doorstep of a nap.

Either Armond Hill, or Kenya Hunter. You can see them on the website in the Roster.

Thanks for your always valuable insights. I am disillusioned by our defense. MR has transformed his game into a reliably scorer, but he is nearly always the last played back on defense and consistently fails to box out. Yesterday, he did nothing to move Kauffman -Renn away from the block and picked up some fouls set up by his lack of initial defense preparation. I don’t see any D improvement in him over last year.

Thanks. The bench stuff really bothers me. @jerod posted something about the bench when he was at AH. Hard to see on TV but when they show it the bench looks checked out. Watch the women’s bench and there is so much joy and support. This will go down as one of my least favorite IU teams ever, not for their record but for their attitudes.

Hmm - our starting point guard and 4 star Ohio Mr. Basketball, Gabe, scored a whopping 0 points, and had 0 rebounds and 1 assist in 16 minutes of play, and was completely incapable of guarding Purdue’s 3 star point guard, Braden Smith, who scored 19 points, and had 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in 36 minutes of play. Then, our head coach, who is getting paid $4 million a year tells us in his post game that he thought our young point guard played okay tonight . How is this program going to get better if our highly paid coach thinks that our young point guard going 0 for everything and couldn’t guard his own shadow against Purdue played okay??? I’ve always been a supporter of Woody, but if he thinks that’s okay, this program is going nowhere….

Excellent summation of the game! Thanks.

It is clear that Cupps isnt a positive, despite his hustle. C.J., despite his occasional recklessness, MUST be playing a ton more!!

Walker, even Trey, have great openings but reluctant to shoot, even at 10-15 feet and wide OPEN!!

Get a “Shot Doctor” or someone to instill focus and confidence off, then on the court!! 😵‍💫😖

Actually, the uniforms were that bad.

I think this was a loss due to lack of confidence and mental fortitude. We has periods that we looked like a very dominate team. I do not understand why our team is in this lack of confidence mode. Apparently Woody does not understand how to correct it yet. Could it be his NBA coating mentality?

All I can say is it’s embarrassing. Been going to games since 1959- this is approaching the Lou Watson/ Jerry Oliver years…smh

Call me unimpressed with Gunn. I recall one game this season that his point production mattered. He plays more loosely when there is nothing on the line.

I believe the entire situation requires a change. Coming back to beat Ohio State- great! But there has been so much poor play this season and some spirit less play. There's been speculation about the coach at College of Charleston as someone that is considered a culture builder. One article speculated on Terry Stotts, but he's 66, so I hope not. I still think Kyle Smith would be a good candidate. WSU swept the Oregon trip yesterday and looks like, unless they collapse, they will be in the NCAA. And, look out, Butler is making a push as Thad Matta is continuing to work on his team and is getting results. I really like Thad as well.
