Indiana put forth one of the most disappointing performances of the Mike Woodson era in an 89-61 loss to Louisville in the Battle 4 Atlantis opener.
Indiana put forth one of the most disappointing performances of the Mike Woodson era in an 89-61 loss to Louisville in the Battle 4 Atlantis opener.
The Hoosiers looked unprepared and uninspired from the opening tip, falling behind early and showing little fight as Louisville steadily built their lead throughout the game. The loss severely damages Indiana's non-conference resume and raises serious concerns about the team's ability to compete in showcase events, continuing a troubling pattern from recent seasons.
Key discussion topics:
Guard play was abysmal, with IU's backcourt getting thoroughly outplayed by Louisville's Chucky Hepburn
Indiana committed 23 turnovers compared to just 21 made field goals
Louisville dominated points in the paint (48-20) despite IU's size advantage
Lack of offensive creativity and adjustments when Louisville took away IU's primary options
Questions about team's mental toughness and ability to handle adversity
Luke Goode provided one of few bright spots with his vocal leadership late in the game

Well, tomorrow is Gonzaga. I was at the game today and it was a waste of time - it was embarrassing - went back to the hotel room, changed outta my IU gear and didn’t put it on the rest of the day - these guys played and coached like wimps today- no effort - why didn’t Woody get into anyone’s grill today?? Sometimes, a coach has to deliver a message to his team and Woody didn’t even come close to doing that - I guess this was sort of acceptable because no one was at all upset over it….
So are the X rumors true that a lot of the guys were at the casino all night?
