Well, tomorrow is Gonzaga. I was at the game today and it was a waste of time - it was embarrassing - went back to the hotel room, changed outta my IU gear and didn’t put it on the rest of the day - these guys played and coached like wimps today- no effort - why didn’t Woody get into anyone’s grill today?? Sometimes, a coach has to deliver a message to his team and Woody didn’t even come close to doing that - I guess this was sort of acceptable because no one was at all upset over it….
Well, Gonzaga put a whupping on us. Again, the guards got woefully outplayed; but, I think the guys played hard - they just got beat by a better team. We had huge lapses on the defensive end of the court in the first half giving up 57 at the half and the hole they dug for themselves defensively was too deep - too many uncontested layups due to poor defensive play - can’t win that way. Ballo played well and MgBako almost played well. That was about the only positive. So, lots of room for improvement here and they’ve got a lot of work to do….
It's a rumor on Twitter from one picture. I'd be very wary about believing it until there is actual confirmation that he was out late or into the early hours of the morning or whatever the wording was. Anyone can make up a story from a picture.
Rebuilding? Are you kidding? This was complete Destruction!! "23" TRUNOVERS! Not even "10" POINTS between ALL of the IU GUARDS? Could easily have lost by "40"... maybe "50" if Louisville hadn't relaxed a bit near the end with subs, prior to their next test against Gonzaga. This team wasn't anywhere near close to being ready to play... ANYBODY! Does James Madison (or anyone else) have a REAL BASKETBALL COACH... that actually knows how to get the job done (on the court or with recruiting)? Might as well have Galloway's dad step in as interim. What could it hurt? I'm sitting here in my IU Sweatshirt wondering what the hell kind of #14 ranked team could look so bad that they were such an embarrassment? Smith and Loyer will eat us alive!
I know it's sickening, LR, and one game doesn't usually make or break a season. Unfortunately, though... it seems today's college game has gone waaay beyond Woody and his ability to adapt... and this disaster may well be a harbinger of more crap to come. Keepin' the faith, but only by a thread. MD
The part that gets me is this - Woody was one of the toughest men ever to play for Indiana. He seems to have forgotten what it was like to be one of the best (as well as what it took to excel) Hoosiers ever and he can't get that message relayed to his athletes. It is a shame because he's a member of IU basketball history and a great part of the tradition.

So are the X rumors true that a lot of the guys were at the casino all night?
There is discussion of that? If that's true and it is confirmed, it is totally unacceptable from a coaching supervision perspective.

It's off to consolation we go...Where is the toughness? As soon as some obstacles are provided, at least today, forget it.
